I know what the thurs. night liason does, taking the count of our local weathernet to skywarn, but what does a liason do during an actual weather event? I never have understood this, and would be so inclined to volunteer, if I knew more. Plus, it's a real topic to discuss.
thanks all

Re: liason?
The local net conducted on 146.94 is the Madison County net.
Frequently during SKYWARN activation across northern Alabama, a wide-area net will also be activated.
A net liason is an operator who is prepared to operate on two or more frequencies at the same time, for the purpose of taking any messages from one net to the other. Other situations may involve more than two frequencies, and potentially each additional net that needs to share information will have a designated liason.
By all means, if you have the capability to operate on two frequencies - volunteer ! It is good practice.
In some circumstances, even one frequency at a time is better than no liason.
Thanks /;^)
