New ARES/RACES web site celebrates 1st anniversary
I guess at this point we have to quit referring to it as 'NEW' . . .
Almost hard to believe it has been a year already. Many of us accept this site, as tho it has always been here.
We have made great progress in using this new tool, but we need to remember to check in more often.
Encourage other team-members to check in and keep their training profiles up to date.
Training ? Have you had any lately ? There is plenty of free on-line training available in the EmComm field.
Ask questions on the air, or in the discussion forum here if you want to know more about what training will be most beneficial for you. Aside from on-line material, there are CERT classes on-going, SKYWARN Spotter training events, as well as amateur radio licensing classes. Just ask around... and invite your friends, co-workers, and neighbors to join in.
Thanks /;^)
